Google Confirms Core Search Algorithm Update

Once again, there has been a core search algorithm updates as confirmed by Google last week. They also stated that these updates will be continual and often as to keep the search engine performance always getting better. Google has proven itself to be the very top competitor in the name of search engines & the reasons users love it so much is because of the honest and accurate search results that it employs. One of Google’s official statement on the changes was:

“This is not a Panda update. As you know, we’re always making improvements to our search algorithms and the web is constantly evolving. We’re going to continue to work on improvements across the board.”

The SEO community noticed a huge change in rankings this week, making us weary of what had been done. However, Google cleared up the confusion. The powerful change in results over the past week was largely due to the change within Google’s number one search result, Wikipedia. This past week, Wikipedia changed it’s entire URL structure, causing almost every 1-5 ranked spot on Google shift.
